*drags self further out of self-imposed semi-exile for the sake of Kanae Ito newbie love~*

This single came out…quite earlier this month and I got it about a week and a half ago now. But as a Kanae Ito fan (even though I’ve only watched Shugo Chara!) I must properly review her first character song.

And by properly, I of course mean with complete bias and fangirl adoration.

BLACK DIAMOND (Shugo Chara! Character Single)

August 12, 2008 at 9:46 am | Posted in Music | 9 Comments

So, my last birthday present finally arrived. It feels a little weird getting a present that I’ve already kind of been using for…a week. I completely lack the ability to wait for a single this awesome.

So, to make this clear, this is a song from Shugo Chara!, sung by Nana Mizuki, who plays Utau. This may be a “review” but it is the most biased review you will ever read. I’ll automatically love any song that Nana-sama sings anyway (because I love her voice~!). So yeah…biased.

Oh yeah also…violin and violin “played by” Ikuto. More bias.

I got Strawberry Panic a couple of weeks ago and I finally finished it recently. I was just taking my time to read it.

First…I’ll get to the story also, but before I explode I need to shout what has been on my mind since I first picked this book up at the store.

I love you Seven Seas!!! Make me your novel slave!

So…that’s out of the way now. Maybe I should move toward an actual review.

Light Novels (in America)

(Oddly enough only two of these novels are getting releases in America)

This is meant to lead up to that new category for light novels I mentioned before. I’m going to be getting to a bookstore soon, so that’s probably going to start up soon.

I’ve always been interested in light novels. Especially recently when it seems like every single anime is being adapted from light novels rather than manga. Wagaya no Oinari-sama, Kure-Nai, Allison to Lillia, and Toshokan Sensou are all based off light novels; and that’s just from the spring season (Apparently Kanokon is too, but I’m not even going to list that title with all those other good anime). And in the Summer Season there’s even more.

It seems like every other week I read some new announcement about an anime adaptation from more light novels. Off the top of my head, we have season three of Hakushaku to Yosei, and that one with the girls that transform into soda cans or whatever (I think it’s called AkiKan). I know there have been plenty of others. There was one announced really recently on ANN.

(So basically, this is just my introduction post for that new category I talked about before for Light Novels) Continue Reading Light Novels (in America)…
