A post that perhaps should have been done yesterday, but if I have one resolution this year it’s going to be to stop stressing myself out over just about everything. All I really seem to accomplish when I go into rush mode is making myself sicker. Also, this post is kind of unnecessary, but I feel it’s a good way of trying to say that I’m not lazy (but I am)
All of my plans basically amount to things that I’ve been working on for a while, but think will finally get off the ground in 2009. I don’t really do resolutions. The only difference between 2008 and 2009 for me is one digit in the date. That said, I do hope to accomplish a lot more this year. Some of those goals relate to anime and such so here’s a post to let out some of the stuff that gathers in my head. Some of it’s even related to blogging!
Shugo Chara image because if it weren’t for that show, my brain wouldn’t be programmed to wish everyone a “Happy Merry Christmas” instead of just one or the other.
As you all probably know, I’m pretty busy this holiday season and my half-hiatus is still on for all regular blogging (except for Shugo Chara’s next episode because OMG preview). But it doesn’t take much to do a little post to wish everyone a Happy Holiday. No matter what holiday you celebrate, hopefully you’re at least a little infected with seasonal cheer. If you are not…have some egg nog and release your inhibitions to force yourself into cheer! (meaning, yeah get drunk…if you can legally…)
For the time being I’m on a kinda-sorta hiatus. I’m still going to try to post as much as I can, but to be honest…eh. I don’t know what I’m capable of.
I mentioned this really briefly on twitter, but it’s become more of a problem than I originally thought, so it need to be mentioned again.
To remind you what could happen if you don’t vote!
Well, it’s finally November 4th, which even those of you not from America probably recognize as an important day. It’s time for the election for a new president after eight years of…well, we all know what.
I refrain at all time possible from talking about my personal political beliefs, so I doubt anyone even really knew that I was following it that much. I’ve mentioned it a few times in personal discussions, but even then I keep my personal opinions to myself (you know, outside of “politicians are pretty much all asshats”).
So today, I’m afraid I will not be able to catch up on the blogging I’ve missed at all. I am going to be stuck to my TV all day long after I vote (and get my free Starbucks coffee afterward). When I am on the computer…well let’s just say that anime won’t be at the front of my mind.
So in my eternal quest to make sure I never do anything useful when I’m on my computer, I finally got a Twitter account.
It’ll just stay about stuff I do while I’m at home or have access to a computer. So it’ll often be related to anime, the interweb, some randomness, and often my blog. Thus I feel it’s worth a mention on my blog (and an inclusion in my sidebar).
I bet people have been wondering that. I’ve only been kind of slow for a little over a week, but on the internet a week seems like AGES. Especially when a lot of my readers come to check Simplicity everyday instead of using the magic of RSS and Blog Readers.
I somehow feel like I owe an explanation. So even though I like to keep personal posts out of my anime blog, here goes.
I’ve been kind of going on (or ranting) about my birthday coming up. Ranting, because two of my birthday presents are actually just my parents paying for preorders. Usually all the good stuff comes out right before my birthday, now everything comes out right after. Everything. It’s not fair.
But this is my birthday, so I should just be happy with what I do get and the milestone alone is enough really. Today I’m officially eighteen years old. I’m legally an adult. Yay~! If only I acted my age.
And to have it stated now…I’m out of town at the moment (wrote this ahead of time), so I can’t do my SA post on time.
I got neglectful in my studies again. Or I’ve really just been as neglectful as ever. I had to focus on a more important study first: Driving.
I turn eighteen in just a few days (August 4), but I just got my license on Wednesday. Familiar readers already know the reason why probably. It took so long for the same reason I missed out on doing everything else for a year.’
But nonetheless, I have made progress again.
It’s already been so long since I’ve updated on my progress learning Japanese…I only have one post. It’s from June. It’s been almost a month.
Well, I have a good reason, I haven’t made much progress. So there.
I am…so tired. It’s only 7:00 PM here too. But now that everything is all settled I need to explain things. Then it’s off to bed (or relaxing anyway). Special A’s review will have to wait until tomorrow.
You may or may not have noticed my general “ugh-ness” throughout the past ten or so days. I doubt you did at the time, but you probably noticed the general lateness of my posts, more grammar mistakes and typos than usual, less substantial stuff in my posts, and all around crappiness.
Well, I just had the week from hell. (After here follows a rant poorly disguised as an apology)
