This is late. I intended to have this up really early on December 30th. Now I think it might not even be 2008 somewhere (I don’t know. I don’t keep track). But anyway, now that the new year is upon is, it’s time for me to finally properly reflect on 2008. Like so many others before me, I do this with my favorite things in anime.
I wanted to keep mine until after Christmas when I’m pretty much guaranteed that nothing new will come to prove your list wrong. The 30th would have been safe, but yeah. I missed out.

Why hello there Nogizaka Haruka. It’s been a while. In fact we haven’t talked much since the very episode I will now be talking about.
So, for my…seventh(?) day of anime we have episode 07 of Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu~
Or as I like to call it, the episode so good that it made me stop watching.
The coming snowstorm put a halt to my post-writing yesterday since I had to rush out and take care of things before I’d be confined to my house (I just got my license this summer, I’m not driving in a foot of snow). It’s a good thing it was yesterday though, because I can just point you to this post and there you have it. My post would have been lame anyway.
But today you get episode 12 of Macross Frontier.
This one kind of makes me weep for 2008 in general (or for myself for finding it so memorable), but I suppose that as a starving fangirl, whatever gets thrown at me for certain series will be memorable to me. Even if it seems like it’s only thrown in there as a nudity-free form of fanservice.
My fourth day of anime comes from the third OAD of Tsubasa: Tokyo Revelations. (Spoiler Warning)
Ah~ Now I’ve hit the easier part of the list for my moments. Wonderful, memorable things that popped into my head the very instant I tried to think of what I could remember about this year in anime. Unfortunately, that brings us to a little bit of a “cheat” again since I’m using manga, but memories cannot be contained to one medium alone!
Chapter…or wait…yes. We were still in “chapters” then. Chapter 07 of Kobato (though it’s kind of the 16th installment…or whatever).
Tch. I don’t want SA to be ahead of Rimahiko. I don’t want SA to be memorable at all. I want to forget all about it. The anime anyway. And having any teensy bit of negativity in this feels like more cheating from me (and ruins some of the fun for me).
Nonetheless, for my second day of anime, episode 04 of Special A is my eleventh most memorable moment of 2008.

I’m starting with something that technically happened yesterday (or Friday night really). I wonder what that says about my year in general. Good or bad that one of my most memorable moments happened just yesterday? Maybe good since it bumped something else off the list (though that was recent too -_-;;;). I kind of feel like I’m cheating somehow, but it really is more memorable for me than a lot of other things. I’d hate to miss out on calling it “memorable” just because it came too close to 2009.
But who knows, it might not deserve to properly be in this series (though I think it does) I could just be drunk off of shipping excitement (though I’ve calmed down a lot since yesterday…). But nonetheless…one of my Twelve Moments of Anime for 2008 comes from episode 62 of Shugo Chara! – my filler Rimahiko scenes.

Lately I’ve hit a problem that seems both blasphemous and logical at the same time. I’m getting bored with adaptations of series that I love and really looked forward to.
Of course, right now there’s really only one adaptation that I’ve read the source material of. That would be Skip Beat!, so that’s what I’m mostly talking about here.
Yeah, “Hare Hare Yukai” picture, because it’s not like it’s even a spoiler for an anime endings list.
Ah…I ran out of normal ideas and went back to finish off my anime themes by doing my top ten anime endings. Now we’re done.
…Until I inevitably go ahead and do my top ten insert songs. You know it’ll happen.
I don’t think I’ve ever really taken the time out to talk about Macross F on this blog before. There’s just the one mention of me wanting Ranka to win SaiMoe, but that’s really it. So this feels a little weird now, but I will persevere.
With the way Ranka’s been portrayed by other bloggers these past two weeks, I feel I want to speak up. A lot of the Ranka fans are either being too quiet or they’re being like “Sakura fans” were back in TRC and have abandoned their character the exact second she did something they didn’t like.
