OMG. I was actually excited about this episode before it aired. When was the last time that happened? Unfortunately my excitement immediately turned to despair upon seeing that new opening (I still want to cry when I see it). But I got picked back up pretty quickly.
Also, this is my first time watching it with the CR subtitles. So, lots of new things this week. A technically new arc, a new opening, and a new way to watch it. Let’s see how it all goes.

This is late. I intended to have this up really early on December 30th. Now I think it might not even be 2008 somewhere (I don’t know. I don’t keep track). But anyway, now that the new year is upon is, it’s time for me to finally properly reflect on 2008. Like so many others before me, I do this with my favorite things in anime.
I wanted to keep mine until after Christmas when I’m pretty much guaranteed that nothing new will come to prove your list wrong. The 30th would have been safe, but yeah. I missed out.

I got my wish(es). The Ikuto arc has started before the new year! Unfortunately the Lulu stuff is still going on, but for the meantime (at least in the next episode) Satelight is following my second wish.
That second wish, of course, pretty much guarantees Amuto in every episode.
… *insert all sorts of fangirling craziness here*

I’m a horrible fangirl. Clannad is probably the series I most enjoy every week, but I haven’t been able to get around to saying anything about it each week. I’m happy to say I have an excuse though. I was sick because winter sucks (and that makes me happy?).
Of course, I’ve gotten better and have been able to do some pretty regular blogging, so I’m working on getting everything back on track. Episode 12 of Clannad of course inspired me very much to push forward with my three episode post, so here I go!

I’m starting with something that technically happened yesterday (or Friday night really). I wonder what that says about my year in general. Good or bad that one of my most memorable moments happened just yesterday? Maybe good since it bumped something else off the list (though that was recent too -_-;;;). I kind of feel like I’m cheating somehow, but it really is more memorable for me than a lot of other things. I’d hate to miss out on calling it “memorable” just because it came too close to 2009.
But who knows, it might not deserve to properly be in this series (though I think it does) I could just be drunk off of shipping excitement (though I’ve calmed down a lot since yesterday…). But nonetheless…one of my Twelve Moments of Anime for 2008 comes from episode 62 of Shugo Chara! – my filler Rimahiko scenes.

That’s better. A filler about actual characters in the show. And what’s better is that it focuses on a pairing that is rather widely supported by the fans. Rimahiko~! Of course just the general friendship cuteness, but the point is, I am pleased.

Yay! Finally they returned to Nagisa’s arc! And…they finished it off in one episode. Hmm. Well, more Nagisa is good no matter what.
I had to take a two week break from blogging Clannad because I was feeling all moody because of the lack of Nagisa.

AHAHAHAHA! *maniacal fangirl laughter* That was absolutely everything I wanted and expected. Those of you who commented may remember that I was setting my expectations pretty high too. Of course, it’s still not from the manga or whatever, but…I don’t care anymore. At least we can call this like…the best filler episode.
Also, to ruin my buzz there’s some…probably good news that I need to get to first. Ugh (want to fangirl~).

Woo! Three cheers for ten times easier full arc posts! Now I can do fun little titles and I’ve cut my work by…well more than half. Doing it this way also makes it a lot easier to enjoy Skip Beat! since I don’t really have to worry about trying to say something about a scene I experienced like…four years ago or something.
Yup. This way is much better (for now).

Yay! Nagihiko is back~!
Outside of Nagihiko parts though this episode was…so boring. I couldn’t even properly enjoy the Nagihiko parts because I was just generally annoyed. The filler character this week was just intrusive and I think we can all now see the main problem that will make Doki difficult to enjoy sometimes.
