OMG. I was actually excited about this episode before it aired. When was the last time that happened? Unfortunately my excitement immediately turned to despair upon seeing that new opening (I still want to cry when I see it). But I got picked back up pretty quickly.
Also, this is my first time watching it with the CR subtitles. So, lots of new things this week. A technically new arc, a new opening, and a new way to watch it. Let’s see how it all goes.

I’m a horrible fangirl. Clannad is probably the series I most enjoy every week, but I haven’t been able to get around to saying anything about it each week. I’m happy to say I have an excuse though. I was sick because winter sucks (and that makes me happy?).
Of course, I’ve gotten better and have been able to do some pretty regular blogging, so I’m working on getting everything back on track. Episode 12 of Clannad of course inspired me very much to push forward with my three episode post, so here I go!

Ah~ Now I’ve hit the easier part of the list for my moments. Wonderful, memorable things that popped into my head the very instant I tried to think of what I could remember about this year in anime. Unfortunately, that brings us to a little bit of a “cheat” again since I’m using manga, but memories cannot be contained to one medium alone!
Chapter…or wait…yes. We were still in “chapters” then. Chapter 07 of Kobato (though it’s kind of the 16th installment…or whatever).

That’s better. A filler about actual characters in the show. And what’s better is that it focuses on a pairing that is rather widely supported by the fans. Rimahiko~! Of course just the general friendship cuteness, but the point is, I am pleased.
That’s right Satelight! Please the fans!

My god, this episode was cute. Very fillery, but it was definitely cute just the same.
I think this episode has the best filler chara and character that I’ve seen in the anime so far. Which just goes to show you that the fillers really would be better if they used the fans’ ideas.

Yay! Finally they returned to Nagisa’s arc! And…they finished it off in one episode. Hmm. Well, more Nagisa is good no matter what.
I had to take a two week break from blogging Clannad because I was feeling all moody because of the lack of Nagisa.

AHAHAHAHA! *maniacal fangirl laughter* That was absolutely everything I wanted and expected. Those of you who commented may remember that I was setting my expectations pretty high too. Of course, it’s still not from the manga or whatever, but…I don’t care anymore. At least we can call this like…the best filler episode.
Also, to ruin my buzz there’s some…probably good news that I need to get to first. Ugh (want to fangirl~).

Oh god I cried so much. And twice. Once while watching the raw and again when watching the fansubs. Kitties are the best pets ever today!
And yeah…new favorite arc (again). I doubt anything (except the full After Story) will surpass this for me.

I’d heard that Shima was adorable in the game (even though you never got to see him), but aww. Nothing could prepare me for this. I don’t even usually like shota characters! Darn you Key and KyoAni and whoever does Shima’s adorable voice.
I completely even forgot about looking forward to seeing you Misae. …Shima~!

The Sunohara/Mei arc is officially confirmed as the best arc so far in the anime. Out of both seasons. I’m not sure if it’s just me, but I really felt that this one was the best. Perfect balance of humor, moe, drama, it didn’t feel dragged out (good length), and…what? There was a fight scene? Yes. There was.
And the image? I don’t know…I just wanted to use an image of Nagisa and Mei together. That’s all the reason I need.
