Ugh…filler. I hate fillers. Or at least “X-chara of the week” fillers. So…lame.
I’m just going to say this now. I’m waiting for the torrents for fillers. No one should really be in a rush to see how boring the episode was or to talk about how boring the episode was, so I figure this should be fine. You can only expect my fast timing like last week when it’s either a chapter from the manga, and Ikuto episode, or an Utau episode. So…there. Otherwise I’m waiting for the torrent.
Oh and also…I really summarized things. No attempts to translate lines. Because this episode…was just boring.
A Small Preview (For Summer…or some season)
May 29, 2008 at 10:46 am | In Anime | 11 CommentsIt seems like summer previews are already coming out for what people are blogging. My blog is too new and I feel like it’s still too early for me to do one of these but there is one series I absolutely have to bring attention to.
Though…I’m not even sure if it’s going to be in summer, fall or…whatever. I’m just hoping for summer.
Hakushaku to Yosei is an anime that takes place in 19th century England. Thus my interest is already perked because I’m one of those girls into that era. Add in some fantasy, adventure, and some shoujo elements, plus my positive bias toward anime based off of light novels and…well, this anime is definitely topping my “must-watch” list.
Then…add in Nana Mizuki.
Yeah…my interest in this series just freakin’ tripled.

Anime Girls: Ushio

Well, here’s the second installment of my currently running feature of my top ten favorite anime girls. Last week was Tomoyo as number ten and this week we go into number nine.
This week I’m going to go on endlessly about one of my favorite manga girls. I know the running title is “Anime Girls” but manga counts too. So, I’m introducing Amamiya Ushio, one of the main characters from Arina Tanemura’s Shinshi Doumei Cross (The Gentlemen’s Alliance). Before I go any further though, this probably isn’t the last you’ll be seeing of an Arina Tanemura character in this list.
Ushio is the only daughter of a rich family and attends the prestigious Imperial Academy. She is cold to everyone except her best friend, Haine, and even goes as far to say, “All I need is Haine.”
Spoilers from Shinshi Doumei Cross (AKA The Gentlemen’s Alliance) beyond this point.
FMP! – 4 Year Journey

So, it took about four years, but I’ve finally seen every animated release for the Full Metal Panic! series. Seriously…it’s taken over four years. I checked.
I’ve been a fan of this series since the first time I saw it. It’s just great. Each season (or sequel maybe) was better than the one before it. And of course, Kyo-Ani worked on Fumoffu and Second Raid, which just automatically lets you know that the animation was great. And it was.
Oh and the characters. And the story! It’s all just great. Humor, action, everything.
So why did it take me four years to finish? To be honest…I don’t know.

So, I was just checking my blog stats for the first time today…and I checked the search engine terms, because I always like finding out how people can find my blog. So far it’s mostly been, “Shugo Chara! 33″ or some variation of it.
But today…I found the best thing…ever.
“amu is a perv”
Yes. Apparently, if you google the phrase, “Amu is a perv” my site is the fifth result. There’s no actual results for the phrase itself, but my episode 33 summary comes up because I said in the summary, “Eru makes note of Amu being a pervert (ROFL).”
Ah, and now that I’ve done this post maybe this entry will pop up as a result for the phrase “Amu is a perv.” Yes! I own that phrase now!
Haha, but seriously, if the person who searched “Amu is a perv” is reading this, let me know. Because I really and completely seriously want to know what you were looking for. I’m interested in any “Amu is a perv” results as well.
Heh, maybe this should be the next slogan for my blog.
Special A – Episode 08

Urgh…I was supposed to do reviews of episode 6 and 7 on my livejournal, but certain circumstances made me unable to. I was going to do a double review, but…now that episode 8 is out now too. I think I’ll just give up. *sigh* Those were pretty good episodes too. I was kind of excited when I watched them, but since that’s died down now…it feels like it would just be a bother.
But! Finally! The Hawaii episode! I’ve been waiting for this since the anime first began. The overall plot of this episode is kind of boring and generic, but there’s some good KeixHikari moments to make up for it.
Oho~! I love it.

May 25, 2008 at 4:13 am | In Site | 9 CommentsSo, back on my livejournal, and I think in my About section, I referred to this blog as sort of a “test.” If it didn’t go well, I might have ended up abandoning it after a while. But I don’t think that will happen.
I wanted to see if the features of WordPress.com’ blogging tools were enough to make me leave the comfort of my nice community on LiveJournal. And they are. I figured they would be. But I was surprised to find that the community on WordPress.com was giving me a lot of help as well.
But most of the credit goes to…
Peach-Pit and that wonderful series Shugo Chara!…which I believe should also claim any credit for the success of my livejournal as well.

Talking about non-fangirl things, I actually watched Shugo Chara! on YouTube first rather than after downloading a torrent or finding it on NicoNico. Never thought YouTube would get to be the “go to” place. Go figure.

So, I’m sitting at my desk waiting for episode 33 of Shugo Chara! to show up. Either as a torrent or on NicoNico, because I’m ready for either the moment they appear. The screencaps are all posted on 2chan, so that’s no longer there to tide me over and stuff. So I thought I’d do a small post here.
I will not give you all the screencaps you are looking for (because I am a bitch), but I will say one thing about this episode:

I really didn’t intend to have a rant on this blog so soon, but…*sigh* What can you do? You can’t control when things will piss you off after all. I debated about whether or not to even post this, but…well my blog is so plain and boring right now anyway. A rant is still a post, right? Heh.
For some quick background. I’m a really big Arina Tanemura fan. She is my favorite manga-ka. I adore her and her works. 3/4 of her manga are in my top ten list. I have never, ever disliked anything she’s done…ever. Admittedly, I am probably blinded by pure fangirl love, but that is just how it is.
Readers from my livejournal are probably already very well-aware of this. However, things need to be established when you start something new.
